Michi no kai bestaat uit een groep enthousiaste kyudojin die zich niet alleen wil bezig houden met de technische kant van het Kyudo, maar ook de cultuur van Japan beter wil leren kennen.
Buiten de reguliere trainingen organiseren we ook gezellige uitjes (als het weer het toelaat)
De Michi no kai Kyudo groep is sinds 2 april 1999 actief, toen onder leiding van Hans de Wekker sensei.
Michi no kai is Japans voor ‘de weg van de groep’. Michi is in dit geval de Kyudo-weg. De naam heeft een relatie met de groep van Matsui sensei (♰ 2002) die in Nagoya een groep met dezelfde naam heeft opgericht. Matsui sensei was de leraar van Hans de Wekker sensei.
Hans de Wekker sensei (♰ 2022) was sinds 1981 aktief in Kyudo en heeft in de loop der jaren de zesde dan behaald en was erkend Kyudo-leraar (met de Kyoshi-titel). Tevens was hij lid van de technische commissie van de Europese Kyudo Federatie.
Cor Takken, leerling van Hans de Wekker sensei, beoefent sinds 2008 Kyudo en behaalde in 2018 de vijfde dan in Tokio.

Michi no kai is a group of enthusiastic kyudojin who don’t want just to be practicing the technical aspect of Kyudo, but also wants to learn more about the cultural aspects of Japan.
Besides our regular trainings we also organize fun trips (weather permitting)
The Michi no kai Kyudo group is active since April 2 1999, then under the guidance of Hans de Wekker sensei.
Michi no kai is Japanese for “the path of the group”. Michi in this context is the Kyudo-path. De name is related with the group of Matsui sensei (♰ 2002) who has started a group with the same name in Nagoya. Matsui sensei was the teacher of Hans de Wekker sensei.
Hans de Wekker sensei (♰ 2022) was active in Kyudo since 1981 and was awarded 6th dan in the course of the years, and was an acknowledged Kyudo-teacher (with the Kyoshi-title). He was also member of the technical commision of the European Kyudo Federation.
Cor Takken, pupil of Hans de Wekker sensei, practices Kyudo since 2008 and was awarded 5th dan in Tokyo in 2018.
